Mission
Our mission is to make biology engaging, accessible, and meaningful for middle school and younger students through the creative practice of poetry. Poetry will be used to artistically communicate science, and to spark interest in both fields to younger students. This will encourage students to engage with biology through an observational, creative, and imaginative lens, and to strengthen understanding and curiosity about the natural world.
Through collaborations with community organizations and educators, we aim to develop poetry-writing workshops, competitions, and other opportunities to bring science and poetry together.
